Most software is designed to extract attention. kami makes software designed to return it.
Every kami app is a one-time purchase at a premium price. No subscriptions. No ads. No dark patterns. No attention farming. Each app is a ritual object, something you pull out of your phone and feel something about.
The work lives on paper-feeling surfaces. Typography, texture, margins, white space. Everything a craftsperson would notice, and nothing a growth team would approve.
Tier 1, full launch 2026-07-03
A ritual app for work-life separation. One phone, two selves, a four-second crossing between them. The inside surface is for work, the outside surface is for the rest of your life, and the transition between them is the app.
Tier 1, closed alpha 2026-07-03
A slow dating app. Letters before photos. One introduction at a time. Written by a matchmaker named Charlotte who knows you both and who tells you, in every letter, that she is an AI. A dating app that treats you like an adult.
Tier 2, later
A travel journal that writes back. The voice is warm, slightly absurd, and reliably factual about where the nearest good coffee is. It will also tell you the meaning of life if you ask nicely.
Tier 2, later
A daily ritual that asks you what you most deeply want, and keeps a quiet record of your answers over time. The answer changes. That is the point.
Tier 3, year two
A premium family and friend locator. Opt-in. No dark patterns. The map is beautiful. The privacy is total.
kami is a one-person studio run by Kesava, with Claude in the loop as a silent partner for everything except product direction.
The studio is bootstrapped. It does not take outside capital and is not for sale. It exists to make a small number of very good things that a small number of people will love for a long time.
